Trends: Bodysuits

I recently got on board with the body suit trend. They look great with jeans, shorts, and skirts and you don't have to worry about them coming un-tucked. If you're a little unsure of this trend start with a basic black body suit with jeans or black jeans. You'll love how slimming it looks, trust me! Express has a large selection of body suits for great prices.

Also notice this sweater again? I can't stop wearing it. It's perfect for spring or cooler summer nights because it's open knit. I found one very similar at Forever 21 that I linked below. Thanks for reading!

Summer Wedges

If you need one new pair of shoes for the summer, I highly recommend a good pair of wedges. They will go with everything from dresses to jeans and are much easier to walk in than stilettos. Chunky, platform heels are in this season so go find yourself a pair! Sticking to a tan or neutral color guarantees they will go with everything and will elongate your legs (if you're short you know this is always a plus). Nordstrom has a great selection at all different price points. As always thanks for reading!

Dark Florals

Normally I associate dark colors with fall or winter. But add some florals and an off the shoulder style and I think darker colors can work for spring. Keeping it spring like with mules or open toe shoes also helps. Notice these earrings again? I love them because they are super light weight and don't hurt your ears. The price doesn't hurt either!

Dressed Up Stripes

Every girl needs a good striped dress. White normally stripes have a causal vibe they can be dressed up with the right shoes and accessories. They really are so versatile. By adding the lace up heels and the fun tassel earrings I was able to wear this look to a bridal shower and out for drinks afterwards.

This whole outfit won't break the bank either. The dress is on sale for $27 dollars and the very on trend tassel earrings are $6 dollars! Thanks for reading.

What's in My Shopping Cart

This is a pretty random post but I've been doing some major spring/summer shopping and some of these items I've been finding are just too good not to share. The best part is they are all under $50 dollars so grab them while you can!

This weekend is looking like some spring weather will finally be making an appearance in Cleveland and I'm excited to try out some spring trends. Thanks for reading!

This is actually a two peice set from Old Navy and the whole set is under 40 bucks!

Sneakers

I've never been much a sneaker person. Besides gym shoes, tennis shoes weren't really something I thought about adding to my collection. Until I bought this blush and gray pair and now I can't stop wearing them. They're perfect for running errands and causal dinners. I wear these with everything, from legging to t-shirt dresses. This pair is from Madewell and is sadly sold out, however, New Balance has some great options all under $100 that I've linked below.  Thanks for reading!

Suede Skirt

Suede was a big trend for fall and it's sticking around for spring. This skirt is perfect for the transition from winter to spring. I paired it with a black turtleneck and leather jacket since it's still chilly but you can easily pair it with a flowy white blouse too. Another big trend this spring is lace up shoes, whether they're heels or flats you need a pair! The heels below are a steal for 33 dollars. Thanks for reading.

Spring Trends

It's slowly starting to feel like spring around here which means time to shop! I've rounded up some of my favorite spring pieces that I've been dying to add to my closet. Some of the big trends I've been noticing are suede, flats, mini pleats, and of course florals. As always thanks for reading!

Shoes here
1. Flats: Flats were all over the runways. I love this pink color for spring!
Sunglasses here
2. Clear Sunglasses: I've been seeing a lot this style of sunglasses which I think is a great change from the typical black and brown.
Dress here
3. Suede: Suede was huge for fall and it's continuing for spring. Keep it springy by pairing it with sandals.
Skirt here
4. Mini Pleats: I've seen this trend on skirts and shirts. It's perfect for a more girly look.

5. Florals: Obviously florals for spring isn't new. However, try looking for them in new ways, like this very on trend off the shoulder top.

Sweater Dress

While I really want to start wearing spring clothes mother nature has other plans. This is the time of year where I'm sick of buying winter clothes but I'm bored with my wardrobe. Enter the sweater dress. I always pick up a new one every winter because you can still look cute and not freeze in them. I also like that I can wear them to work and out, depending on the shoes and accessories. A lot of sweater dresses are on sale now so stock up. Thanks for reading!

Really Last Minute Valentine's Day Ideas

So Valentine's Day is on Sunday and you completely forgot about it. It's too late to order something online (unless you have Amazon Prime and if you do start ordering now!) but you need to get your special someone SOMETHING. Below are some great last minute Valentine's Day gifts that won't break the bank and are super thoughtful. Thanks for reading!

1. Champagne
There aren't many people out there that don't like champagne (and if you don't, whats wrong with you? kidding, sorta). Personally I would use this holiday as an excuse to spurge a little and go with a fancier bottle and you can't go wrong with a Rosé (my recommendation is Belaire Rose).

2. Flowers
I know this is so cliche. But the point here is to make this a litter more personal. Does she love pink roses? Or lilies? Red roses are great but if she's mentioned that white roses are more elegant try something different.

3. Candy
Again, this is similar to number 2. Make it personal. If you know she or he loves Reese Cups (this girl right here) then go all out. They have giant Reese Cups in stores so pick one up (hint).

4.Cook Dinner
Now I'm always down for going out to dinner. It's one of my favorite things to do. But since this is a last minute list you may be struggling to get reservations somewhere. Or if you live in Cleveland and the sub zero temps predicted for the weekend are making you want to stay indoors this idea is perfect.

Poncho

This outfit turned out to be one of my favorites. Mostly because I pretty much was wearing a blanket in public and it was great. If you want to look trendy but still be comfortable I would highly recommend a poncho. I kept the outfit itself simple, with black jeans, turtleneck, and booties; but then accessorized with a floppy hat and a red purse.

This poncho is from Geiger's. If you're from Cleveland you must check out their stores. I checked online and couldn't find this exact one but I've linked similar styles below. Thanks for reading!

Easy Super Bowl Recipes

Whether you watch the Super Bowl for the game, commercials, or the half time show there is something that everyone can agree on enjoying and that's the food. Every year I look for recipes that everyone can enjoy but I also focus on easier recipes too. One year I made bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos. While they are so good they also took more time than I anticipated and I spent way more time in the kitchen than I would have liked to.

I'm still trying to decide on a recipe for this year but below are some contenders! Thanks for reading.

1. Simple Pigs in a Blanket

2. Slow-Cooker Chili Mac and Cheese Dip

3. Meatball Sliders

4. Classic Buffalo Chicken Dip

5. Cookie Dough Dip

Black & Gray

Sometimes in the winter you just have to stick with classic color combos, like black and gray. This is outfit perfect for a January date night. To stay warm you could change the pumps for black booties and throw on a black leather jacket. Or to add some color a blush coat would look great with this outfit as well. I kept the look very minimal looking with no jewelry. I've been in a 'no jewelry' phase lately. I'm sure come spring time that will change! Thanks for reading.

Best Sales

The time after Christmas is known for having some of the best sales and is a great time to stock up on winter clothing. So many stores are having such great deals I thought I'd share some of my favorites. Whether you need a new coat or sweaters now is the time to buy.

It's funny because I'm doing a 'no shopping' challenge for January so finding some of these items at such great prices was torture but I'm hoping you will benefit from my pain.

As always thanks for reading!

Party Dress: $55.
