Jean Jacket

Confession; this is my first jean jacket EVER. I've always thought they looked great on other people. I just didn't think they were my 'style' and I have a long torso so crop anything doesn't always look good on me.

Then I bought one and completely changed my mind. The truth is a jean jacket is so versatile. Pair it with a little black dress and it works. Or a little white dress. Or white denim. You get my point. Not to mention it helps out when the weather is being uncooperative (like it has been in Cleveland lately).

It's safe to say you'll be seeing more of this jacket in the near future. Thanks for reading!

July 4th Inspiration

I love the 4th of July. After Christmas it's my favorite holiday. The warm weather, barbeques, fireworks, I love all of it. Not going to lie, I start thinking about my outfit for the 4th weeks beforehand. There are always so many cute options to choose from. Below I picked some of my favorites. More dresses of course! I can't get enough. But how cute would that one piece look with some denim cut offs?

Any 4th of July plans? We have a cook out and a trip to the islands (as in Lake Erie islands, close enough) planned. Can't wait! Thanks for reading.

Scallop Hem

My dress obsession continues. I wore this look to a daytime wedding ceremony. It was perfect for the day and I just added some nude color heels for night. I kept the accessories minimal because I feel the scallop hem really makes the dress.Unfortunately this dress is from Urban Outfitters and is sold out but I linked some similar ones below.

And this cute clutch just helps the outfit overall. When I bought it Kevin was like,"What is that??" It's a clutch with lips on it and I needed it.

Summer Dresses-under $50

Every summer I find myself gravitating towards dresses. Maybe it's the warmer weather or maybe it's because dresses require less effort, who knows. While I'm shopping I've been picking up 3 to 4 dresses every trip and then reminding myself I don't need any more (and then I narrow it down to 1-2, oops). Today I've rounded up some of my favorites all under $50 bucks so you don't need to put them back!

Off the shoulder

This dress may be one of my favorite purchases to date. Between the off the shoulder, ruffles, and trapeze fit, I can't get enough of it and considering I wore it twice in a week should tell you how much I'm loving it. I wore it with platform heels for a going out look and then below with flat sandals for a more casual outing.

As much as I'm raving about this dress I have to say it's currently sold out from Express. However, don't worry I found an exact one link below for an even better price.  I also found a top version and another perfect throw on and go off the shoulder dress from ASOS below.

Rent the Runway

Wedding season has officially began. Instead of purchasing all new dresses let me tell you about another option. I've mentioned Rent the Runway in a previous post, here, but this post is fully dedicated to the site.

How it works: You search the site for a designer, type of dress, or occasion. This is the hardest part, trust me. I knew I wanted a lace dress shift dress so I started there and narrowed it down by the best reviews for my body type. You can narrow it down by color, length, or even neckline.

So you found the perfect dress, now what? Next you pick the dates that you need the dress. I've noticed it's best to order your dress 1 to 2 months before your event so your dress doesn't sell out. You have the option to rent for 4 or 8 days. Unsure of your size? Read the reviews AND you get a back up size FREE. I normally order my normal size and then a size up. Designer dresses can run small.

Once you order you simply just wait for your dress to arrive! Rent the Runway has great customer service (I've experienced it) so if your dress doesn't fit they will work with you to send you another dress.  After you enjoy your dress you just put in the pre-label UPS envelope and drop it off at your nearest UPS store. No need to clean it or deal with any type of returns.

If you need another reason to check them out, Rent the Runway also has accessories to add to your overall look.
